We all have a past for sure. We learn from our past if we are paying attention.
Then we improve and God forgives and forgets, so why can't we? A terrible
fault we all posses.

In my humble opinion
everything we do affects somebody somehow (even if that somebody is ourselves). We are remembered for the good and the bad that we did. These things will return to us in some way or another unless we change countries or become hermits or the people we have dealt with all die
. If we abuse our bodies with drugs and alcohol it will have some effect, ( I smoke so I well aware of what could happen to me in the future even if I quit now), in the future. The more people we deal with during our lives the more chance the past can return and haunt us. We just need to be able to accept it and deal with it when it happens. Hope this helps. Good luck
