Yes, But
John McCain voted the way he did because the democratic leaders refused to allow his version of the GI Bill to come to the floor for discussion. He wanted to give monies set aside for education available for their families also so veterans wives or children could use it for their education if that is what the family decided. He wanted to give more incentives and rewards to those who serve our nation the longest rather than an across the board incentives. This would make our volunteer service stronger and give them and their families more security for their future.
There have been many good bills placed to the side by the democratic leadership just to make the republicans look bad. The republicans have not fought hard enough for us either. Each were more interested in making their party look good instead of our needs as a country. It's time for the Mavericks to take over.
