Thank you, Nautikos. Some things about her health will not improve, but we are both positive about her general strength and attitude.

And you, dear, will comfort your sister with tales of the moon. Like you I am fascinated by the moon and can`t sleep when there is a full moon.

Sam, everything is not yet perfect, and probably will never be, but I am finding so much that is positive in this situation.

Re: The same sliver of a moon I saw outside the truck
Ciel, I'm taking some poems to read to her tomorrow. I asked her if she would like that and she was thrilled. I think its great, that no matter where you go, I can see the same skies (well, at least as long as you don't go Down Under or something).

This is some good writing....
...borne, I think, out of pain and new personal understandings, day by day. Days not wasted, obviously.

The same sliver of a moon I saw outside the truck
when I woke up early-early in Wyoming three mornings ago--and Orion the Hunter, my old friend from childhood, who was always outside my winter window, when the leaves had gone, was there beside the crescent moon.
Perhaps your sister could close her eyes and see if someone reads to her?

How can she not
laugh and sing again with such a compassionate sister at her side. What a tender post, Taps. I loved the continual movement of the moon.....

I'm hopeful for you, Taps. I think she'll be OK.
I loved the poetry in your blog, the sense of tides making their normal shifts under the moon. Nice work!

Dear TAps... If she is half the woman you are she will overcome this terrible situation . Have faith and stay strong. You both are in my prayers... From my humid and hot little corner of the world to your place under the waning moon... xoxoxo.
