- Go to ~~~~~~~~~~~~~Promises…the sound of temporal bliss.~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Jen... I am so happy you are posting regularly now... I missed you soooooooooo much when you were gone. This poem is so profound and beautiful. I love it when you get philosophical on us... Promises I have unfortunately found that for some of us mean nothing, but for others they are as good as gold. The problem is how do one now the difference...not until they have broken your heart...and since I am not in the market for another broken heart... I do not listen to promises any more . Love you Jen...

Very good expressed - you touch a sensitive aspect ...
... believing in promises is in vain when past disappointments mountains up ... but I believe in people not in promises ('cause of disappointments) - and I've learned that it's not many who can get my trust (no matter how hard I try to be optimist, it cracks when the reality turns up) -

Broken promises and tears of disappointment
Companions of a sad lament....tangled in our memories
the music of tears.
Good poem!

What a poem, Purple_Mermaid. There is no disappointment comparable to a broken promise. So well written.
