mousehop, my greatest frustration w/ bush has been his excessive spending.  Way over the top.  Part of that was Iraq, but really, we could have waited on Med-D spending.  anyway, thanks for stopping by.

Re: Re: Re: Re: Query
Probably.  I'm already composing letters to my new representative, asking her to hold the line on spending.  Not that I expect him to listen.  (No, I don't know who it will be, boy or girl.  Tough choice for me, as the boy is more likely the fiscal conservative, but the girl, being a Democrat, will wield more influence.)  But Bush, and the Republican Spending Spree in Congress may have banished them to a generation in the shadows.  Why, oh why did the Libertarians have to choose a worthless rascal like Bob Barr?

Oh right, of course kingmi, I follow you now.  I watched a very interesting video; I'd be interested in your perspective.  I'll see if I can find the link.

Ugh, mousehop, don't make me puke.  8 for Obama, 8 for Biden . . . .  Don't make me panic like that!!!!  America will be sold down the drain by the time they're done.

Re: Re: Query
Perhaps she could.  We'll see how she handles herself on the campaign.  But if she could, certainly Obama could.  He has, after all, been in charge of his campaign, ans we see what he has done there.  And McCain has sold out his best argument against Obama.

McCain has found a way to make history, but he'll end a footnote, along side his VP choice.  Senator Clinton will still be the woman who has come closest to the presidency, until at least the next election.  Probably two elections away.  Maybe more.  Let's see, 8 years for Obama, 8 for Biden.  Then Hillary can run again . . .

I think McCain made a great political move! I can't help but think Hillary is quaking in her boots so to speak! sam

JanesOpinion, I must admit that I was a bit surprised by his choice.  How interesting.  I must learn more about her.  Looking forward to the GOP convention.

female
I just saw Corbins post. Man is McCain playing the rock-star Hollywood card with that one. A stroke of genius. A hot chick is the only thing that could upstage Obama. Liberal females will hate her. She's too pretty.

female VP
A stroke of brilliance in a way. One wonders if McCain will pick up any female voters but I doubt it as they're entrenched with Obami. Especially since she seems to be so family valued. The libs hate that. Perhaps some conservatives will vote for McCain now that he's picked someone who seems to be more conservative than himself. So he may kill two birds (female, true conservs) with one stone.

Kingmi, always glad to visit your blog, even though it seems we agree on less and less!

Female xenophobe?  Huh?  Did you mean homophobe?  Which she isn't?

Re: Query
mousehop, I would choose Gov Palin to be pres, or I would feel comfortable to have Gov Palin as pres should McCain kick the bucket (not to be crude).  She appears to be a no nonsense, intelligent woman of integrity.  She could do it.

McCain's VP Choice

This move made me feel old. I am actually 3 years older than what could be the VP of the US. Nevertheless, I THOUGHT IT WAS A GREAT PICK! I feel she will do great and make an excellent VP plus she will only be 52 years old when she takse office as the first woman president! I hate to throw this in too but she is very attractive as well, hey I'm a man, kinda hard not to notice!!!!!!

Great post Jane!

JanesOpinion
Excellent post. Thanks for the comment on my post. It made my day. This woman is a real find, savvy, competent and capable in any circumstance we will need her for. I trust her ability far more than either of the two on the other side. She has more executive experience and ability than Obama and he is running for president. I am excited about strength this is worth to the Republican Party. I must remember to congratulate Kingmi when I am back in his neighborhood again, he studied up for his exposure to you Doc. Have a good day.

Query
In all honesty, would you choose Governor Palin for president?  What exactly is he thinking in making such a choice?  Is this supposed to give me more confidence in his judgment?  This seems like an act of desperation; trying to dampen the effect of Obama's historical feat.  But, I have to admit, I don't much about the woman; that's a major part of my reticence in trusting this move.

It is intriguing the selection of a female xenophobe. She should have an adient-repulsive effect on the hard right.
