It is easier to believe that nobody is capable of such large scale deception and non-concern for lives and if what you say is true, the guilty party will use this unfortunate gullibility of the average person to hide behind. I grew up in a country were innocent citizens were cannon fodder for various causes and where innocent people are still victims of acts like child rape to the point of disfigurement and death and consequently I do not think any behavior is too horrible for humans to engage in. Some humans are far worse than the Devil in the Bible. We should oust them from society.
