Welcome to our community of readers and writers!
I think that you write well, and will likely find yourself well accepted as a welcome member of our club. I also often lament about how cruel Father Time has been to my family and friends. I of course, have apparently escaped his notice so far, even though cronologically, I am a geezer. Good genes I guess. Keep writing, you have what it takes to be a good writer and a good sense of humor is another plus, that doesn't hurt.
