We're A OK here, mneme.  I know this sounds trite, but trust me, I've been where you are and further - you'll feel the warmth of the sun on your face again - and smileys will mean something again.  Just hang on; really tight, please?

I won't be wiggling, mac
because I am out of the game:) I don't know why I'm adding a smiley when my heart is so shattered, I just can't seem to stop myself somehow.  Hope you and Ell are both well. xx

Neither had I, mneme.  Thank you for the compliment about my writing, and why won't you be doing any wiggling?

Never thought about it JohnMacnab
but now you mention it.. well written, the lady knew exactly what she was about. Hope for us older ones yet (not that I'll be doing any wiggling...).

Re: TAPS.
My pleasure TAPS.  Sigh!  I don't understand why time is flying past so fast nowadays.  I was under the impression I'd posted a couple of days ago.   I must give myself a talking to.

Johnmacnab, Thank you so much for visiting my blogs and leaving comments.  At least I know you are alive even when you haven't posted for more than a week.  LOL

Thank you Mrs E.  I'm so glad you liked it.  I may even do some more.

Whacky
Whacky, the grapevine is faster than a speeding bullet, and I will attempt to stay in this world - just so I can read your posts.  Say Woof to Bo for me.

Mr Mac
This was so very funny.

I'll hear it through the grape vine....It's faster than the internet.
But please stay healthy! I like to read your blog.

Thank you very much for that confidence building comment, Sira.  You're embarrassing me, but I can take it.  I normally call people 'mate' or 'lass.'   If it's an older person (there are some left) I usually say 'young man' or 'young lady.'

TAPS.
You have me blushing again, TAPS.  Thank you very much.

I have the same problem at church sam444.  I can remember couple's names like John & Mary or Ken & Rita, but if I see them outside church on their own, I'm lost.

Fantastic Post Mac!

You can't imagine the thrill I got, to click on your name and see a new piece, just waiting to be read! Welcome Back!

As to the subject at hand--I don't know anyone's name, first or last. Like you, I could rattle off all sorts of random information about them. I'm just really bad with names.

I call most people darling, or sweetie. If they annoy me, they get something a bit ruder.

Great post, Johnmacnab.  It is so true.  And, so wonderfully written.  Great going.

This was fantastic! It reminded me of the number of people I know from church and have no idea what their surname is either!  sam
