Example of Restraint
Okay, so I was trying to goad you into stating flat out that we should declare war of Russia, and you keep side-stepping by simply condemning me for stating the obvious; we don't have the military available for war in Georgia, nor would most people in this country support such a war. After all, what would we have at stake? What could we possibly gain? Except for you advice that I "get a brain", you have shown admirable restraint. So why don't we send you to negotiate with the Russians?

Re: Re: Re: What?
As Georgian troops stood by our side and have fought in the Iraq War, you as an American citizen say that the best we can do is hope the Russians listen? What is an ally? You may want to check the dictionary. You say you are not a democrat but you sure sound like one.

RSM, wow this psot rpoved ntohing of value
Sorry, but Obama said NOTHING at all in his comment
that concerned America being to 'blame' for anything in this. if anything he
might have been suggesting that we show restraint and not push our way into this
conflict, which would only make matters worse at this point. Or are the
conservatives now hoping to get a war started up with Russia now? You are very
clearly putting words into Obama's mouth.
This has nothing to do with Iraq, but you like to
make those irrational connections that openly display your paranoia. Of course
such irrational connections are still the only defense you Bush-backers have for
Iraq. All the facts and reasoning out there are against you.
Iraq did NOT do any of the things you talk about in
this post. Saddam and Bin Laden were actually ENEMIES, NOT allies. The more
information that gets discovered the more this is clear. Of course since they
are both radical Muslims, in you bigoted eyes they must be working together and
be connected, since all Muslim are guilty of the crimes of each other and we
should look at the actions of a handful of the radical groups in order to
condemn and defend our attacks against all who we put under that title. That is
what is called RACISM. I have not used that term before, but in this case you
are showing that you are a racist when it comes to the Muslim people. When Bush
got us to invade Iraq, he got us to aid Bin Laden. We are doing what Bin Laden
wanted us to do. We have taken out one of his enemies, dismantled one of the
most stable governments that was in the Middle East (Notice I said 'stable' not
'moral' or 'progressive' or anything like that), destabilized the region more
and basically set ourselves up to look exactly like what the radical Muslims
have been saying we are like. The Iraq war is NOT defending anyone against
Terrorism, it is aiding the terrorists greatly and allowing the real enemies who
attack us to roam free and feel that they won and that they can manipulate the
USA to do what they want us to do.

Re: Re: What?
Actually, if we had stayed out of WWI, it may have ended sooner, with little difference in the final status, but that discussion is a bit complex for a comment. As for Georgia, the opposite of 'stay out' is what? Go in? With what? Show me a substantive difference between McCain, Obama, and Bush on this one. And what of Madame Secretary Rice? Wasn't Post Soviet Union Countires supposed to be her area of expertise? Yet she answers questions on a crisis she didn't anticipate, or at best couldn't prevent. I don't always answer 'stay out", and I don't claim to be a liberal. Closer to the Cato Institue than the Democrats. And while the problem in georgia is serious, it isn't exactly 'our butt' on the line. Our options there are limited, especially military options. So the best we can do is spout wisdom, and hope the Russions listen. (Which may have started, per today's news.)
As for getting a brain, I'm and American. what do I need a brain for?

Re: What?
I hate to say this but you must read it again. I clearly state exactly what ABC said about Obama's statement. Read it! You must understand if we simply stay out of everything then it will be up our butt. Do you or can you liberals ever understand this? We stayed out of everything for 8 years during Clinton meanwhile the terrorist were learning to fly planes in Florida in 1996. When will you ever GET IT? Stay out, stay out, stay out, that is all that you can ever say. What if we would have stayed out of WWI? GET A BRAIN! PLEASE!

What?
I hate to say this, but you don't come across as, well, either informed or intelligent here. I mean, there is nothing in Obama's statement about America, and there are more sides involved than just Russia. The Georgian rebels breaking away from the Georgian government constitute a side. So, yes, as both McCain and Obama said, the armed conflict must stop. And all sides must stop it. Not just Russia. And America should stay out. It's not our fight. So all we can do is tell them to stop acting like idiots, and killing each other.
What has this to do with Iraq?
