I am the opposite
and tend to get rid of things which I later think would have been useful, but I have lived with clutterers and can not stand it - what use to keep things you may one day need, when you will never find them under the weight of a million other things that might one day be useful.  My view is pass unused things on to people that need them, or recycle them and life will provide what you truly need when you truly need it.

the latter part of your statement is the meat of my dilemma, isn't it?  Try to get a guy that keeps junk mail from 1997 to think according to that logic.  It's a disorder for a reason.

I have a hard and fast rule - if you haven't thought about it, used it (or worn it), or looked for it over the past 6 months it's outta here....  And thank God I married a man of like mind.
