In this country we like to think we are above all that, too sophisticated to fall for the tricks and games. But we obviously are not. Look at what has occupied the White House for the past 8 years!

True. It is not the country's people but its "leaders" hungry for power

Maybe I might not be here either, my father was in training and the war ended before he was sent out... My husband looks at North Korea today, and says that that was Japan during the war. Few Japanese would admit to that. That people lived off government propeganda, all that Japan did was 'noble' although everyone's lives detiriorated in the war effort, nobodies' lives were their own. Thank you for your thoughtful post. Too many people with no control of what was going on were made to pay with their lives, all over the world, and that is not right. Never again, let's never again.
