Shelly, I never thought you were gay, either.
People make judgements based on false stereotypes, which is unfair and insensitive.
Just keep being you!

ROFL... I concur with Ariala.
btw... I think you may be one of the first people to come out and announce that you're NOT gay.  Isn't it usually the other way around?  LOL

O.K. Shelly, I heard you. I do not understand, does our sexuality make us who we are?

Shelly
Never crossed my mine - that you were gay, that is. I do know the single life though given I was single for about 10 years but dated a lot.  I think I was purposely picking the wrong kind of man (a self-fulfilling prophecy) but eventually I started looking at the good guys - the nice guys - and found myself a wonderful man.

Shelly

Not really sure what to say here, other than I don't care if you are gay, straight or pink with purple polka dots, you are friend and that is all that has mattered to me.

In my line of work, I have to say I would like to see a few more women who fear committment a bit more.  Don't deny yourself, but always follow what is right for you.

Shelly, People are so funny. I have a very dear friend who is gay. When she decided to be open with her sexuality my then husband became very upset. I couldnt figure out why until he told me that he thought I was gay because she was. He asked me to never color my hair red because hers is red. What a goofus. She is still my friend and he is now my ex. ~Peace, OTA

I feel like I know what you're talking about....my students always assume I'm gay or bi-sexual because I don't like it when they say things like "That's so gay" and "Oh my god, stop acting like a fag."  They don't take into consideration that I also don't like it when they use ANY ethnic slurs, slang, or cursing...It takes a long time for me to teach my students about respect and boundaries.  In the end, my students finally figure out that I'm not gay, but strongly independent and happy to be single - but it's almost a year's worth of teaching that goes into that kind of lesson.  I just find it amazing how people still have the audacity to just assume things by the way they hear things and the way things "look."  Sad, really.

I know what you mean.  In the last two years I really haven't been looking.  Too much other stuff going on in my life.  I really didn't start looking again until recently.  Oh, and I like my space.
