Reminds me of me! Yet, aspartame in diet drinks, fluoride in toothpaste, excess carbs in rolls and bagels, things like splenda and pharmaceuticals in tap water.....I will die anyway!

I have been there
Great representation of something anyone who was ever addicted has been through.

When you are ready you will find the means to stop smoking that suits you best

In any event take your mind off smoking. Picture in your mind a fluffy cloud lighting up ala lightning. You can’t go out and buy a pack of cigarettes in that storm mate! Ha With TLC, BCA, “Top of the Stairs”

Unfortunately, the events portrayed in this lament, were mine, with the exception of the snow.  I have to admit to being a unwilling slave to the 'cigaweed'. At least I got a good poem out of it. I am so pleased to hear, Sinome, that you beat the weed. As with so many things, you are an inspiration.  Thank you all for your kind appreciation of the poem.

hmmm, is this personal experience or just for fun, I wonder?  Regardless, this was a fantastic piece and I could feel the anxiety and the restlessness of the speaker as he hunted through his home for a single 'cigaweed!'  Such a wonderful piece - as always Joe, you astound me with your topics and your ingenuity with words!

Beautiful poem,  you have such a gift ... Well done!I have been there Joseph and I know exactly how you felt when you wrote this piece.  I used to say quitting was so easy... because  I had done it many, many  times.  I smoked for many years until one day, during a visit to Disney World,  while I searched like a crazy woman for a allotted place where I could smoke... I just got fed up and decided to stop.  ITs been 5 years now and I have not touched cigarette per say, maybe a puff once or twice, and though I got to say I still miss it and really loved it,  for all effects I am done with it.
