Re: Re: Elyse
BCA ~ I will tell you in short, that my dear mother (whom passed away in 2003) had quite the sense of humor.  No matter.  Now, she could also swing in her moods due to her condition...but, she had insulin dependent Diabetes and asthma as well.  One day while living with us, she went to her room rather silently.  I (as her caretaker) followed and so did my bulldog, Marilyn --- (Marilyn adored my mother)...So when I open the door my mother is just putting her "puffer" away and with her back towards me, I did not notice she was beginning an injection and Marilyn scoots by me to hop in bed with my mother and well, the injection was hurried along accidentally.  Marilyn is sneezing(certain she got some 'puff') ... My Mother of course, felt dizzy and I reacted quickly and we got it all under control, however, after all was said and done, my mother kissed Marilyn's head and asked her to assist her from then on, because "wow" did that make her feel better in 'record' time.  --- now, it could have been a horrific event, however, my mother, as she got older had a tendency to be more and more mellow and she often, would calm me down...her mantra: Let it be...~ then there was the time... oh that's an entirely different story.  But, I did want to share with you how this brought a memory back to me.  Thank you BCA for your fine writing here on BLOG-it ~ Elyse

Re: This looks like a great read

Yeah just read 19th century very short fiction in an American literature reader, and consider the ellipsis ... in films. Similarly to a film soundtrack the story runs independently of the reference links. I linked Spirits In The Material World by The Police twice accidentally. The link to I’m Sorry by John Denver turned black, You can google it for one that might work or at least access the lyrics. Do return and read. Thank you totally highly! This looks like a great read
I wish I could read and understand but the fibrofog prevents me from connecting all the dots.  Keep up the good work and one day I will be able to assimilate it all.

Re: Elyse
“… Love ageless and evergreen …”  A diabetic injection I hope that one day you'll share about that problem love. I'm familiar with type 2 diabetes that requires only the pills. But gosh a connection between asthma and a diabetic injection makes me curious. Indeed this blog markets only taste in entertainment love!As far as the influence of the poem goes I found eloquence naturally. Thus love makes a person feel better. With TLC, BCA, "Top of the Stairs"

BCA ~ what can I say but...what I have said again and again.  I reiterate:  You are above --- This being so full of stimulation, both auditory and vision-ary and nostaglia weeps at my doorstep, I tell ya... Katzenjammer Kids OH WOW!!! (have a collectors book of this) ~ The Police, the Ballet positions (both of my daughters in dance; many recitals, productions...ahhh, and the times I tried to 'leap' while they laffed...LOL)
Babs singing Evergreen    The willy's jeep advertisement cinches much for me.  So many memories flood in while reading this. Ella Fitzgerald sent me to the moon ... oh wow, what a wonderful song to share. The whole idea - the asthma attack --- is familiar to me as well...and how it can be bumbled up - (even a diabetic injection...I have a story there...) Everything you write of here --- is a touchstone to amazement for me - fond and just powerful memories flood in and well, I must say I take away a sense of fine entertainment after I read your blogs ~ Thank you for sharing so much of your gift.  and your Poem is eloquent. (smashingly so)
as for your question:"

Can love make a person feel better"

I know this to be true.  Is all I can say ~

Elyse

*I think in all walks of life; of sadness and grief, hostility and strife...yes, I think humor can still be found. I have a story or two about this...maybe one day I will share.  Write on, BCA~

O, where to begin! I love it when my yellow Wiley's Jeep shows up. My word I lmao off when she jumped in the shower and then put on a jump suit waiting for the ems. Too funny! I thought she was going to pass away and I started feeling guilty for laughing and thank goodness you didn't do her in. I would have been crying. I love the use of white space, I always laugh so hard. This was so fun to read. sam
