You said it well, grow from the experience, good or bad. And something is always learned,

eventually. I recall my Dads words, no complaining, deal with it, work with it.

We must seek to draw ever near to the Lord. This existence is temporal, eternal life is the goal. Have a wonderful evening!  sam

Life as we know it is but an illusion
Life is never meaningless and what is fair for one is unfair for another.  The path to enlightenment begins with the appeasement of pain.  All things in this dream world that we live within our minds are opportunities to learn life lessons that leads to our awakening to perfection of all. We each chose the path we walk in this life so that we can learn a specific lesson or lessons therefore all life has meaning and fairness.  It was unfair that a madman came into the Unitarian Church in Knoxville and two persons were killed. It was meaningful in that a church member stepped in front of the gun to protect the children.  What a blessed soul he is.   Also, it is meaningful where this church is located, being surrounded by a Synagogue, a Greek Othodox church, a  Presbyterian church, a Christain church, a Methodist church and they have all came together to support the Unitarian Church under one God. Let us all learn a lesson from this. One God for all. We are one in God.

I've never considered life meaningless. Senseless, yes, but never meaningless.

Life is not meaningless to me... it has a dozen different meanings and new
ones present themselves to me almost every day.  Fair?  If you figure out a way to make it fair, please let me know - not something I feel I have control over   Good post, by the way.
