You are not alone
I was diagnosed with diabetes when I was 21. I am now 43. Even after gastric bypass it did not go away. You just live with it. You don't let it control you, you control it. But don't get lost taking tests and counting carbs and calories and such. Learn what the amount of sugar is in what you usually eat and learn good portion control. Otherwise all the test taking will make you want to go completely nuts

Good luck. My mom and me practice some of the Atkins
rules. Think positive and leave little messages all around
your house ,,,,it really helps ,,,,,,sorry to hear about the
bad news you got at the dr.
