Urban sprawl has to be controlled...
...or it will be our undoing.
Excellent poem with an important message.

"We've never applied all that we've learned..."
No we haven't.....

That was one of the most tragic things I think I've ever read. I too am at a loss for words...

I am lost for words
Chris you are a lyrical god of conflict poetry, the integrity of this is matched only by the power... I feel like you ran over my mind with a furied steamroller, etched in tragic beauty.

I can't tell you
how much I enjoyed this! i don't think i've read you before, so glad u left a comment, i'm terrible at keeping up on this. "we mindlessly wait the death of the sun" and how we "haven't applied what we've already learned." such powerful phrases. I never understood how the world doesn't devote all efforts to the environment and NASA, the two most important goals for our species. Bravo. Here's a rose from our world

Re: NiteTide
Thank you, Mindy. Kind of you to say so after 'lacerating' me so much on your
own blog...;)
