Naut, I'm delighted you are enjoying it!
In writing of this nature, one of the most important factors is not truth or proof, but plausibility. If you find it essentially plausible enough to allow you to suspend disbelief, and go along with the fantasy, skeptic that you are, then I am succeeding!
(If the magic carpet bottoms out on reality for you, that's what I want to know, so I can do it better.)
I don't care much for adventure fantasy for the sake of adventure. To be worth reading, a story has to have something meaningful to say, too.
This story has a very particular message. The process of raising questions, and them being answered plausibly in the story, lead the reader to conclusions which hopefully will stimulate, and satisfy, and, by the way, deliver my message.

This is absolutely enchanting, and yes, the pun
is intended, lol. Isn't it ironic that I, whose skepticism doesn't allow for magic, is nonetheless completely captivated by your story and your language! I've had a very busy weekend, and it is late, but tomorrow I shall sit down for a read of all that you have posted so far!

I read just the first part, tired as I am... But it's very intriguing, provocative and well-written, I like it, so please don't stop!

Ahem... yes, I know there are some grammatical errors--
a couple of broken sentence structures, a typo here and there. These don't warrant the trouble of comment at this time, being so far from presentation to a publisher as it is. I will edit corrections where I spot them, in the manuscript where I'm working on it.
