mysteria - thanx, one thing I promised myself if I was going to spend time

goofing off here on Blogit, is that the time was not going to be totally wasted.

It started with blog templates for a system that isn't really suited for them (Blogit) and progressed into more challenging work on ecommerce storefronts. The venture into commercial projects was a natural extension but I'm the first to admit that I'm a rookie in that field. At this stage I consider coming out ahead, even if ever so slightly, to be an accomplishment.

benzinha - it's funny that you should say that; my very first set of sales projections for a crude product I developed a few years ago was 1,000 copies per month. Having never done it before and really having no idea what was involved, I began making myopic predictions just as most people ignorant of this market would do I assume. I sold 3 copies of that particular issue before abandoning it. One of the things I liked about the numbers I present in this post is that they represent reality, this is how it works if you have a decent product.

My product would probably do better if it were a little slicker looking but I'm not sure if the trade off between the costs of having a professional graphics designer rework my art and the potential of improved sales would be equitable. Improved graphics and more options are on the slate for the next issue of the template however.
