I had a similar treatment when I was a kid for a scar left from unfortunate encounter with a cat (or fortunate? as he didn't manage to scrape my eye out as he intended to), it really does miracles :)

I love muscle stim therapy.
It does wonders for me -- I suffer from severe sciatica in my left leg, and as long as I get the electric stimulus therapy twice a month and DRS treatment once a month, I can walk without pain.
And I, too, have a pretty high tolerance for the treatment. The attendant turns it on and keeps saying, "Tell me when ... tell me when...." and one day he finally said, "Can you even feel it? I'm afraid to turn it up any further!" He was stunned when I said that it wasn't uncomfortable at all. But I do notice that on the days when I let him turn it high, I am more tired afterwards than on the days I keep the level light.
