I am a step mom,
And I want you to know, that on this end, it is hard. There is so many boundaries, and lines that are very fine, and you never know which ones to you are close to crossing.
I will tell you that you are absolutely right to be upset. Your nephews best interest was at heart, and you were worried. He needed to feel loved, and close to his mom or dad, so he came to you. My situation is completely different. My stepdaughters' mother is still with us, and she gave us her girls. you should email me.
