Wow Elyse, what a gift! so full of love!!! The heart of hearts, this pic
says it all. Thank you and the Desert Prince's  tips to yours. One very peculiar thing is, and I hope you'll understand, is, that I attempt to break all beliefs. Beliefs, simply, are an obstacle to one's spiritual journey. One takes refuge in a particular belief system saying Oh, this is all for me - and that too is good for many, but to my way of questing, not good enough. The universe is so full of wonder in variety. That's why I try and go to the soul of  various thoughts, not necessarily beliefs, and find a great many of them worthy and enriching. Expansion and assmilation of ideas frees you. Having gleaned thus, my second love is to share and understand myself these thought more deeply. The precise reason for my writing.       Love, from the undulating saharan sands to the fields of Elyse.

Hello mariaki
I love to excite imaginations, as they do to mine when I come upon stuff that sets me to a journey. And it's so satisfying for me once I can share and make someone ponder.

shamasehar

I am paraphrasing the words of Adi Shankaracharya: I am not the mind, not the intellect, neither I am the ego, nor am I the waves of thoughts that flow continuously within me like a river - all these, I am not. Then who am I? I am of the very same form - the Bliss of Consciousness - where resides lord Shiva at all times. Thank you dOlly for reminding .

reminds me of Adi Shankaracharya- "Manobudhi, ahankar, chitani naham. chidanand roopah shivoham, shivoham."

Your's Shelly, is of the higher, the Bhakti Marg, that of total devotion, no questioning, and I tell you that  is good. Superior, very, very superior, something I have yet to come up to. I try and explore wherever, irrespective of any belief systems.  ya Shely.

Shelly, of the TREASURE VALLEY SANDS, I compliment you for your openess and receptivity, and for which you draw my immense admiaraton and adoration. There are two ways to realize godliness - the path of knowledge, questioning; and the other of submission, devotion. The latter path, in India we call it the Bhakti Marg, path of devotion, is higher than the former, and most of my writes are for the former, for understanding. This relegates my path for the lower, but also for the masses in larger terms. I do pat my back, however, for getting TVS thinking. An achievement in itself of the saharan deserts, dont you think so?

Hahaha Moon, I perfectly understand Dr. Gadhia. Baba is Spirit Incarnate, not a person, and He is a Realized One. You And I too, are not persons, but have yet to realize that we are not bodies, but Spirits. The day we do, we will become the Swami (Lord) ourselves. That's the difference. Relationships exist on plain grounds. In the realm of the Spiritual, All is One and One is All. I am, but I am not, as my relative. Ganga, Jamuna, Saraswathi, the three great rivers of Trinity, each have separate identities, separate existences, only until such time as they do not fall into the ocean to lose their wonderful identities. Not only the river becomes the ocean, even its drop becomes. The beauty is that the drop contains the whole of the oceans. Butchered, Moon? . I contain the whole universe within myself, but am ignorant.

Bhaskar, I believe all these concepts are plausible and make great sense, but I have always had a relationship with God. For years He cared for me when it was unbeknownst to me. It was later in life that I discovered how much He had directed me. I may be lost in the persona but the comfort and direction I have had is immeasurable. I believe His Spirit is in me and thus I AM one with Him. I just don't know any other way to perceive it due to my experience. But I will say I am way open to learning more and more. From my treasure valley sand to your golden Saharan sands my compliments on a wonderful composition. You get me thinking! For that I am most thankful! Shelly

I was once privileged hear Dr. Gadhia (long time devotee) speak at a friend's home. He has been very close to Swami since early days. I don't remember the exact phrasing, very unfortunately. He said something like: "You cannot have a relationship with Swami. You can love (be devoted?) to him and your love can have a relationship with his love." Something like that. Not saying it well at all. I hope you catch the drift. I'm certain you will take my butchery and set it straight. Moon
