Taps, I love your blogs ~ I just want more time to read - and catch up on them, because typically this MONDAY was true to form ---- ucky!!! and LONG and everyone I visited was doing a Monday wane and wax thing...oy!!! and way into the night here ---

~ unplugged phone and trying to write and read and unwind. I'm glad to read that you stayed the same. I'm sorry you've had a setback ~ but, sounds like you're healing?

Taps you're priceless I love retirement cos we don't have Mondays.
We just sit up in bed and listen as the cars all hurry by taking the populace to their work places. All day everyday is holiday. Even the chores are fun cos we do them together........or not!

Sam, I very much like to read your continuing Epic Poem. Though the information is not new to me, I love to see your interpretation of what is happening and what you choose to include. It has just been natural for me to comment as thoughts came to me and I didn't think you would mind. Its always good to share.

Hello Taps: I just abhor crimes against humanity. sam
Side bar: I have come in most humblest of means. I just did not recognize what I am about to share until the Lord slapped me upside my brain. Hopefully I will share in this epilogue.
Epilogue: Happy to say that I neither waxed nor waned, but stayed the same. No clouds overshadowing this day.
Your input and value to me at my epic poem is superlative. I think I thought you were one with the poem because of the intuitive commenting and wonderful comic relief done tastefully and with class that becomes only you. I am proud you were lost in the work. I am sad I did not come to you earlier and did not include you in my dedication of my understanding. But as one of the children I need to be enlightened by the Lord. I am going to do a dedication that befits you and your contribution to my work. I want you to know I am dedicating the work to you as well as the others three gals. The Forward will include the contributions along the way and how everyone has affect the poem. I am rolling my tribute around in my head so i don't when it will be done but I will make contact before I post! I love you so and am so thankful for everything you have contributed. Let's go fishing! sam

Re: TAPS. ..a local radio show host starts his program every morning with
Rumored, that's a great way to start any day. I usually start my day by singing (after I make sure no one is listening to my "joyful noise"):
"This is the day,
this is the day that the Lord has made.
I will rejoice,
I will rejoice and be glad in it...." etc.

Hilow, Mondays really never seemed much like "Monday" to me, as nurses work such strange shifts and Saturdays and Sundays are not necessarily the week end for them. Monday was usually more like Thursday for me. LOL.

I have to say that more times than not there's a dark cloud over my head on Monday's more so than any other day of the week. I'm sure this is a self induced mentality, but I confess it none the less. LOL! I'm glad you don't let Monday's get you down.

Justi, just so it can be a quiet personal celebration. I'm a bit tired right now of big group celebrations with lots of food. LOL. Next one coming up is August 2, our family summer get-together. I'm kind of dreading it with kin folk coming from near and far. But, at least the festivities won't be at my house.

Poor Monday
Since the weekend... our playtime... ends on Monday, that may be part of Monday's bad reputation. You have to go back to work. You have to go back to dealing with all the complications of the "real world" as compared to the vacation world of Saturday and Sunday. I think we have to start to find reasons to look forward to Monday.

If your weight is sorta up there...
just think how gratifying to watch it go down again!
At my most weightcrazy, I weighed myself hopefully several times a day: first thing in the morning, with nothing but me on the scale... never, after a shower, because the skin absorbs water... after shaving my legs... just in case of a miracle! Yup, crazy!
I got over that phase by throwing away the scale.

This just proves I'm weird! I love Mondays.
For years, Monday was escape day. Back to school away from Mom's volatile mood swings, school meant routine and civility. Back to work away from Hubby's whim of iron and the never-ending chaos that comes with a houseful of kids. And now, when my house is calm and routine, I still love Mondays because that's the morning I get together with my writing buddies.

Oh man....the crazies a person will encounter in his/her lifetime!!!! What is going on with all these young'uns going insane with a gun and being unremorseful about it?! Scares the bejesus out of me because it always shatters my sense of security...

I didn't realize that Mondays were known as an unlucky day. LOL. I always dreaded it because it was the start of work. hahahaha. I might love my job, but the first day is always a killer.
