Just to feel the wind's passion in the poem was great.

Oblong Man Marries Normal Woman

Scamper, Thank you so much for stopping by my blog and leaving a comment.  Until now, I have missed out on knowing that you were here.  I had never heard of Oblong, IL before now, and I have family in Illinois.  So, I looked it up in Wikipedia.  I got a big kick out of this paragraph that I found there:

"Another claim to fame is that of a prominent headline in the Chicago Tribune - "Oblong Man Marries Normal Woman" - referring to the matrimony of a man from Oblong, Illinois and woman from Normal, Illinois."

Thank you so much, SFJoseph, for visiting my blog and leaving a comment.  I have really been enjoying your poetry, even though I don't always leave a comment.  I misunderstood at first.  I thought that your poetry was being shared posthumously.  I'm so glad to find out that's not true.

Re: The most amaizing poem
Thank you, Smittenheimer.  I took the photo several years back before I had the wonderful digital cameras they make now.  The photo is faded, but I love that place along the Oregon Coast.  We were watching the whales at play with our telescopes.

Re: BTW, TAPS...great poem!
LOL, Thanks, shellyb.  I'm not so big on those old poems with special forms.   That's why I've written only one.

Thank you, Ariala.  I remember that now, but I just could not grasp it.  You know how it is when you get to that "certain age.....".
