My doctor prescribes decent pain meds to me, for a chronic back pain condition. I hope that doesn't mean the doctor thinks my case is hopeless!
Anyhow, I will be praying for your brother. Has he considered going to a pain SPECIALIST, rather than just a regular doctor? They sometimes have a better bag of tricks.
