I read your post this morning, and though of a poem I had written some years ago, "Kindred Souls". I posted it on my Blog. I know that you will find your kindred one, as I have found mine.

The problem is that love doesn't come to us so easily by searching.
When you have it in your mind that you want something, it over rules your heart and lands you somewhere that your heart is not meant to be.
It is only after giving up and letting go that your heart may find for it's self what it truly wants and needs.
I think that both of us have only gotten what we needed after giving up hope of ever having it.
When we let the mind rest, the heart can rule. 
I love you.

If it is true love, I don't think distance is ever the issue....rather it is the surroundings that keep you from your loved one.
