Thanks Pat--coming from you, that means a lot!

I can only hope I have as much energy and zest when I'm their age!

Re: Sira

They're a riot, Naut--I doubt they'll ever see a rocking chair, what with the motorcycle riding and rock concerts!

I think they probably stay away from you, because they know they'd be out of their league!

Re: Oh he probably reads Mills and Boon in the closet.

LOL Kabu! I can't really say anything, since I'm a closet fan of Mills and Boon myself. In fact, I submitted my novel to them!

Thanks for reading

Re: sira, you are anything but dense! I loved Koontz when I was younger ...

He's still one of my faves--I just love his characters, and the way he takes a terrifying story and infuses it with hope and love and humor.

I'll admit, I did leave a rather snotty reply--I think I needed to, or I would have been annoyed all day. But I also made it clear that that was the end of the road.

Thanks for reading

Re: Rankled is a good word!!

ginnie, we really do want you guys to get out there and have fun. Or, at least most of us do! I think, having raised 3 kids to adulthood, you deserve a chance to have some fun for yourself!

Thanks for the offer, but he's really not worth the effort of hitting

I really enjoy the spirit of your blogs, the hopeful character you
put on the page, and your wide open embrace of life. There's nothing "dense" about you, and your decision not to engage in negative exchanges shows maturity and wisdom. One of these days you'll be taking to dune buggies and adventures... Meanwhile, keep writing!!!

Sira
Your parents sound like fun! No rocking chair for those two, eh? And that other business: The best defence against that sort of thing is not to talk to idiots, much less debate with them. I never do, and they don't come near me...

in fact, I read him a lot when I was pregnant with my daughter.  Good for you for turning the other cheek - you are a bigger woman than I am!  Have a fun read and a good fourth!

Rankled is a good word!!
Your parents sounds awesome!  As I get older I realize that adult kids really want their parents to get out there and have a blast.  I've been hanging onto the idea that my kids still want me to be doing stuff for them...to celebrate all their fun times...but now I know you guys want us to enjoy it all too!  Dunno about the blogger of whom you speak but he must be a dork to 'talk' to you like that.  Maybe I"ll find him somewhere!  I'll beat him up for you!  Oh...nope..I forgot...you want 'us' to have fun!  (My kidlets are 30, 28 and 24)
