Re: Choppin Block
Smittenheimer, I think a week or so has done wonders for quieting that one. Poets are now highly thought of by others, with you at the top of the list.

"You take me there" when you dare. Keep writing.

I'm so glad to hear that, Scramble. I hate to see people intimidated by others or worry about what others think.

Hi TAPS--it seems-each time I turn my back-(miss a couple of days on here)-
I also miss-all the 'excitement'!! Here's one poet who couldn't give a stuff about how much I 'earn'-or how much someone else 'earns'----I just love writing!! (I sincerely hope it is 'poetry' that Ipost?) I also Love reading other poets works-it's wonderful! So I personally-shall 'not be moved' and will carry on 'doing it MY WAY! Have a great week end! Chris.

Samantha, I take it from your comment that you have written on this subject. I think I missed that. I need to read you more than I do/have. I have so much trouble trying to find time to get around to reading everyone that I want to. Thanks for your comment.

your point has been made and I will take this into
consideration before I approach the topic again. I am
not here to hurt anyone or stop anyone from writing
poetry. I would hope if the category were different we
would still feel the same; for instance if opinion or
humor category had most of the popularity and
poetry had less how would you feel.
Sinome had some really nice things to point out in
the first part of his comment below. The thing about
the rainbow was very moving.
I really don't know how to explain what I am trying
to say. So I guess I just better shut up. And leave
the drama to the pros

Re: Let the Rothchilds know about me...I want to get on their payroll.
Ariala, I thought they were already one of your clients and that was why they were so successfully at the centre of the world's financial markets. I thought that it was your ground-breaking ideas and expertise that helped them to concentrate on sectors and markets in which they excel, and rank them amongst the world's largest privately-owned banks. You mean that wasn't you?

Troosha, this post was written facetiously, tongue-in-cheek if you may, but, what I am finding is that many poets are feeling hurt by the matter at hand. As one poet inferred to me in an email, people often say, as jest, what they really are, and feel.

Thank you for commenting on my poetry.
The angst you speak of is an understatement of the harrassment. I have found another competitive writing website. I posted one final to leave behind. I have been reading you for almost two years Taps. You are a beautiful woman with a loving heart. God bless you.

You write beautiful poetry, Sinome. I am glad that you are here. Please don't be offended by what is going on here. I think that most of it is tongue-in-cheek. I hope that no poets here take all of this personally. Although, bloggers have been hurt over lessor things.

Do not worry Taps...those that for lack of talent are jealous of others that can write are petty and deserving of our pity not our anger. Those that love writing, not only poetry but writing in general know that they have nothing to fear from others that are different and those enlightened bloggers enjoy once in a while a dose of poetry as much as we poets enjoy their humor , their opinions and their beautiful prose. It is the ignorant that fear us because in their lack of culture and talent they do not understand that it takes many colors to make a rainbow. They, and we all know who they are, have no real power for they stand on the fallacy that " poets " are trying to take over, when in reality poets could care less... Besides...what is a poet? All humans have poetry in them, even those who would rather not have us here and find us boring. Poetry is everywhere, and I really feel sorry for those that are so involved with their own importance that they can not find poetry in themselves. I for one am here because I like the people that I interact with. I find them real and sweet and talented. I might ad that all my Blogit friends are not poets, far from it, but they have one thing in common, they would not waste their time trying to get ratings with overblown lead statements or trying to plot stupid ways of "taking back their Blogit" Have you ever heard something sillier than that? I am sure that those misguided individuals will eventually see the stupidity of their ways and rectify their stand. We should pray for them and hope they grow up. Take care of you :-)
