What a struggle Wiley has been through (and you) and as you said it's not surprising his
composure would be challenged. It's extremely emotional to be poked and prodded and not feeling one's old self. It's not self-pity exactly (although we're all allowed some of that at times) , it's more a sense of fear and frustration which can reduce us to tears. May laughter and lightness of heart return to your home soon....

Though I know that you two wonderful people can take whatever is thrown at you, it is time for the good things to come back. You've had your share now of the problems and its time for those to go somewhere else.
