- Go to Egg On Face Not Good
Oh Taps... maybe I shouldn't laugh, but you really got me with this one.. still chuckling. I've been known to burn swede to a solid mess at the bottom of my Le Creuset while talking to my mother.. the staining is there to this day. Hope you won the egg war...

Hmmm...I wonder if I should continue with that blog ~ (LOL) ... no really...I would have been looking for a burning bush as well.

- No seriously, I have done this --- and also have accidentally put an 'unmicrowave' dish in their before and whoa, ---- it's no wonder I try to steer away from that newfangled source of distress.

Deep in thought. Reading what you were. Then BOOM! LOL! I bet you felt a stirring throughout your ENTIRE body. I laugh with you and Pitiful - not at you.

Taps, I was getting ready to update the poem. I am interested myself. That was so uncanny to read that. Especially after it had initially impacted me. I can see the expression on your face. It is like one of those movies when God is speaking from the heavens. So cool of an experience. We are coming to Joshua soon and I can't wait to see what might happen to you! Love to you! sam

Ariala, she's not sleeping in her normal place this morning. I think she might be associating that with the
BOOM. I see her creep to her litterbox closet now and then, but I'm not sure where she's hiding out.

Re: Keep blogging and have sandwiches....
HollyBird, that is really good advice. I do love good sandwiches. In fact, I forgot to eat breakfast. I think I'm going to go make me a good sandwich right now and call it brunch.

Pat_B, It was all worth it if it taught me a lesson. LOL. And, today, I have a nice clean kitchen after my midnight cleaning session.

An egg in the shell might not explode in the microwave if
you poke holes in one end to let the pressure out. Once blew up an egg I was trying to poach, didn't blast the door off, but the inside was fuzzy with stuck-on hard cooked egg yolk. And your advice not to blog while something is cooking in another room is right on target! By the time you smell the smoke, it's too late. I laughed so hard at your story; sorry about that, I should be offering sympathy... hahaha

Pitiful might have thought she would be next! But you know, there is this little pad on the microwave oven - it has all these numbers on it - guess what it's for! It's for setting a
time, usually a very
short time (and no, I ain't gonna go into a big thing on Time here, don't worry, lol), but anyway, if you do that, the damn thing will actually shut off all on its own, and you can blog to your heart's content and to our delight...

Keep blogging and have sandwiches....
Oh dear sounds like a real mess, reminds me of the time my friend took the electric whisk out of a bowl of cream before turning it off...we didn't know whether to laugh or cry! I hope you choose bloging rather than cooking...sorry thats a bit selfish...you must eat! Arghhh i've got it, keep blogging and have sandwiches. Thanks for all the visits to my blog, I hope the cat soon gets over the shock. Holly.x

Very good story! Reminds me of the grimlins movies, when they put one in the microwave and it explodes. And then, there is that woman who puts her cat in it to dry it up after a bath and go to court demanding that the company put a sign on the microwave saying that it ain't good for drying cats in....(true story by the way). Tschüs.

I had a babysitter put lobster in tin foil in the microwave before ....
yeah, she was a sweet little country girl ... when I saw the black mark inside she said ... "well heck, I was looking for some ketchup to put on it and there was huge sparks all on the inside of that thing!!" LOL I hope you find pitiful!

I only know how to microwave scrambled. It's the first thing I was able to cook for myself when I was about 12 after they first came out with microwaves.
I say stick to a pot of boiling water for boiling.

Uh oh Taps!
I've had eggs explode in the microwave...messy stuff! The other day I was stepping into the bathtub to have a shower and knocked over a porcelain dish filled with stones...smashed the dish to smithereens at about the same time my mother dropped 7 days worth of pills @ about 20/day all over the floor in the next room. The poor puppy didn't know where to hide!
Good luck with the cleaning...ugh!

LOL... Microwave eggs cook so fast. Was it scrambled that you were making?
I can usually do them in under two minutes, and they start to POP in that time.
