RSM, I think that was suppose to be a compliment
I don't view myself as a 'sinner', but I know I can
better myself no matter what. I have no need for church or a belief in God to
understand this. I am a very forgiving person. I've been through a lot myself
and I have had my family and friend there to help me pull it together and come
out the other end stronger. I have yet to suffer in the manner you have due to
what happened to your daughter and hope that I never do, so I will not try to
claim I know where you are coming from.
Outside of that I have yet to see the need for
vengeance to ever be helpful. You can't linger on past event and have actual
inner peace.
I really think you might benefit from learning
about my personal experience being molested as a real young child. It happened
when I was about three and I have too good of a memory to not know what took
place. Interestingly enough another young man who was molested at the same time
by the same person contacted me last year. He was looking for answers and it was
interesting to get a different point of view about what happened and to see how
it affected him. I'll have to write a post on all this. I'll talk about how
you can remember events like that without having them consume you.

Re: RSM, I could almost agree with you on some of this
"What I find most interesting here is that you openly show your true mindset here, and it seems to be a very non-Christian one. You straight out hate the sinner and don't care at all about the sin. You believe fully in vengeance above all else and wish to spit on justice and the how idea of forgiveness."
Thank you for correctly explaining why I attend church! I attend church because I want to become a better Christian. It is not enough to just believe in God and Jesus Christ as my savior. I am a sinner which is exactly why I am a member of a church and attend church. My family, myself and our daughter the most have endured some tough times, life shattering times and trust me when a family member gets hurt at the hands of others, the most difficult thing to do in the world is to forgive but that is what my Lord and Savior has taught that we all should do. I am trying but it is difficult, although I have come a long ways because of God. So yes, you are correct! You missed your calling kooka! You were meant to be Christian!

I can tell you that it is impossible to get over rape, you just learn to live with it. Try to keep it from attacking from behind. If you haven't been raped, you can't tell someone to get over it. One has to understand something to deal with it. Rape is not something I can understand! sam

RSM, I could almost agree with you on some of this
If it can be shown that this man is still dangerous
after 21 years in prison, then by all means don't let him out.
Of course most of your post is full of assumptions
and is as poorly thought out as most of everything else you write.
You don't keno that the parole board in this case
is liberal. You are assuming such, just because you don't like what they have
decided. For all you know they are conservatives and they find that the guy has
reformed. You and I do not know this guy and have never once met him or talked
with him or seen what his doctors have to say about him. We know nothing of
that man outside of his past crimes. Neither you nor I have any right to judge
him or make a judgment call on this. The parole broad on the other hand has
been trained to do this and have all the facts and observations at their
disposal. Due to this they are the ones who should be making the judgment, not
us. I honestly believe I would not let the guy go from what I have now read,
but I am not the one who has to make that call.
What I find most interesting here is that you
openly show your true mindset here, and it seems to be a very non-Christian
one. You straight out hate the sinner and don't care at all about the sin. You
believe fully in vengeance above all else and wish to spit on justice and the
how idea of forgiveness.
I very much feel for Tiffany Edens. I can only hope
that she finds peace in her life and learns to let go and not live in fear. Did
she not understand that his guy was going to get out of jail sooner or later?
That is how it generally works. Since he didn't commit murder, he did not get a
life sentence. I know many women who have been raped and there was no justice
for them, thanks to conservative minded people who didn't believe they were
raped and allowed the criminal to walk free. So at least here we see justice
being done.
Now I beyond belief agree with you the completely
ignorance reply that was made to this story. That was out of place and
basically as wrong as it gets. My first reaction was that it sounds like many
of the conservative minded people I have dealt with in the past. But for me to
label the guy as being conservative, just because my own personal experience
says that conservatives are more likely to protect and defend rapists and their
actions would be wrong. I try not to make such foolish assumptions
myself.
