I call these my Cassandra moods.  It strikes particularly when I hear nonsense in the media, with  everyone on the air thinking they have it right and that everybody in the country believes A or B, and I am saying C.  They are saying Red or Blue and I am Purple or Yellow depending on the issue.  Hell, most of my issues are not even on the agenda and I see the country going down the tubes on account of it.

Beautifully expressed!.  Oh gawd Carl I know that feeling. I think we all do...to try and warn someone and not being heard,  how frustrating it is to be in that position, because you know they are headed for disaster and yet there is nothing you can do for they do not listen,  Great poem!!!!
