My father and mother used to sing, You Never Promised me a Rose Garden

and here, he, wileyjan,  just planted it.

Growing flowers are so much prettier than those on a table, though, I bring in some to encourage more blooming on the bushes.....I, do not, however have lovely roses like you, but rather only bougainvillea.....so pretty in vases, too.
