Oh, yeah, I remember as an impressionable teen being inspired by the man myself!  I believe, however, that were he to read what you have written, it is he that would be inspired....  I pen entertaining mainstream literature and occasionally come up with some half way decent poetry... What you create is true literature, the kind of thing that universities add to their curricula.  Where I seek to entertain, you entertain and ENLIGHTEN.  I am in awe, Dutchman.  Truly.

Thank you for your comments!... I was yesterday at the concert of Bruce Springsteen & The E Street Band in Antwerp (Flanders, Belgium - that's where I live)... and, well, he is my inspiration, you know? I want to write like he is writing and performing his songs.

for people I will never meet....

You amaze me, Dutchman, because your approach to this subject is so unique, and yet you have forced me to view war in all its horror in a way that no textbook or news broadcast ever has.  Always a distant terror, surreal, abstract....but not now.  Not now.
