TAPS
Thanks TAPS.  That's an unusual place to have an auction, TAPS.  I'll bet you were high on tobacco fumes for weeks.

Azur
Thank you Azur.  The skinny long drip fascinated me and I missed lots of items because of him.

Great post, Johnmacnab.   The last auction that I attended was held in an old tobacco curing barn in Weston, MO.  The auction stuff was in the middle of the huge barn and hanging clusters of large burley tobacco leaves hung all around the sides.  The place had a funny smell to it and I didn't stay very long.  I don't remember buying anything at all, not even any tobacco.

This was great. I loved the description of the skinny guard
And the crumb collector. All of it really. It would be the same here if an auction went too upmarket.

Thanks Pat.  The really funny part is that some of the items still managed to get stolen despite the eagle eyed streak of misery.

No photos necessary. I can see those two security officers as surely
as if they were standing on my front porch, pretending to be missionaries.  As for the crumb catcher... hahahaha....  Loved the "long slice of misery" line the best.  :)pat
