Re: put your money where your mouth is
We may be on the same side yet, but my impression, which may be mistaken, of your attitude towards anything non-Prem really makes me wonder if he, and his teachings, are as good as you make them out to be.  Usually when people are very defensive of their chosen guru and promote such a one as the only or best teacher in the world there is a snake in the grass.  Take note, I said "usually", which should indicate that this is not necessarily the case.  On the surface of things, looking at the info on the website, it seems like Prem is engaged in some useful activities for the benefit of mankind and I wish him al the best in his endeavors.  My point in my article and my comment on yours is that when people are focussing on their own betterment and see the nice feelings and wonderful experiences as the only worthwhile activity in life, their attention tends to stray from other issues and other people who may be in need of other kinds of help or who may actually need some less nice experiences to come to certain realizations about the nature of reality.  For me personally there needs to be balance between the extremes.  People who have gone through suffering are usually more prone to develop compassion towards others who are suffering than those who have had an easy ride in life.  The middle path is the one I try to walk and I will engage any view that seems to be one-sided.  So if I am mistaken about you and or Prem, my sincere apologies.
