I do not really care what the religiosity that will eventually become the worldwide norm will be called since the name is irrelevant while morality and reality checking will be the characteristics of primary importance in my opinion, but it will definitely not be the SOS that has been forced on people over the last couple of millennia, even if it retains a semblance to an older name.

xeno-x...I love this word, this irreligious
Very good hadn't come across it before

I see where you are coming from but too, consider this, I see a lot of immigrants from Mexico in numbers that are many times more than they were even just 10 years ago

And they are a religious people

Amnesty would equal I'd say at least 50 million new Catholics to the masses

Sounds like force in that

The politicians seem poised

hmmmmm

I think you make good points. I trust the change will serve to strengthen as well.  sam

Medieval Church
Although I would agree  with much of what you say, it is also true that modern American Christianity has shown itself adaptable and flexible, although changes in beliefs have changed so much, although slowly, that we can now see little similarity to that of the Medieval Church.  I think that we as a nation will continue to be a relgious country and also that we will continue to change. That, I think, is the real source of our strength!
