Poor Shelly, it just may be cheaper for you to read the books online --- I'm a sucker for book sales and I often wondered how it was possible to buy old library books? I wonder if it's like the ones you have found...they were never returned and meanwhile the library shut down...hmmm... Well, I'm a sucker for classics --- so I understand your love for books ~ but as mickey would say:

so if you donate them to a book fair, please let me know (I just may find me a good deal)

Wow! Will they reduce the fine if you return the books?
That's what they do here.

With this amount in fines, they should name the book mobile after you. lol I had a fine as well and it was cheaper to pay the replacement cost than the fine. That is what I did and kept the book. Does your library have an amnesty day where you can return them and the fine is forgiven. sam

Library issues
*Laughs* my sister does that too. In fact, she had so many fines, that she submitted a program idea to our library of volunteering to pay fines...I don't know though, it might take a while; volunteers usually don't get paid much.

I didn't think it was possible for anyone to have more fines than her, but now I know that nothing is impossible. Thanks for a great laugh.

Shelly, I wish you hadn't posted this. It is the duty of an officer of the court to report offenses. He HAS to. He has no choice. An attorney is an officer of the court. I'm an attorney.
I have to.
I have no choice.
Nope. I have to.
Shelly. I'm sorry. Really, I mean this. This hurts me more than it hurts you.
