Azur
You observe, which is what writers do.  And writers tend to rub their own noses in it.

Don't despair. So many of us find it difficult to get anything in print

I can't even think about my novel at present.

And I had to wait all my life for Wiley the perfect man. They really are a very rare species, very rare indeed. but I love how you took yourself out of the kitchen.

If you are awaiting golden certificates and special rewards, well, I will

make some and email them to you. Otherwise, life isn't like that.

Or, let me say that mine and Mom's and my daughter's have not been like that, so far.

We have done our jobs and have gone way above and way beyond the call of regular duty as it were, and we have found that, that is the definition of a woman's life. Period.

Some men see it and buy diamonds and tiny poodles for us and most don't.

Selfishly, men and women, both, only see their own efforts up close and personal, and give a cursory acknowledgement to the work of the other.

My daughter says that I am too forgiving of the males in this world. I may be. I think you have to be or else we would just kill them all in one month, no?

I loved the fact that you were removed yourself from the kitchen. I know you wear many hats and it would be appreciated until everyone takes a stride backward and really see your value. Good things comes to those who are diligent. I know you will get your day in the sun!   sam

It's clear to me the writer's life requires a dual personality
and extreme training: maid, cook, social secretary, laundress, events coordinator, adjuticator of sibling disputes, psychologist on-call -- all the Mom roles, plus breadwinner, writer/researcher. It's walking backwards on a tightrope in heels. Keep writing...
