Here in KC, lightning struck a huge tank at the oil refinery and set off a blaze that could be seen for miles. They told us on the news that there would be a huge jump in gas price here because of it. I'm avoiding the pump right now.

It's funny you should mention this Shelly. Just last Saturday, we had a freak thunderstorm here at around 10:30 in the morning! I'm scared to death of 'em and would NEVER have gone outside to play in one!
I guess that stems from the fact that when I was a kid, my cousin went racing home and left me standing outside in a MAJOR thunderstorm!...I couldn't walk as fast back then...lol!
