I'm really out of touch with current literature it seems. It is a pity he died since he's work was tremendously thought provoking.

This sounds sooo familiar! Could have come straight out of "The Book". Castaneda has been criticized and debunked a lot, but I have found his books very interesting and stimulating. I haven't heard anything about his writings in almost twenty years. Do you perhaps know if he has written anything recently?
