Re: Elyse
Those horses with "wings" as you call them are called Gypsy Cobs or Gypsy Vanners..They are bred by the Romany people (The true gypsies of Europe)..They are as gentle hearted and any horse could be..And would make a wonderfully gentle slide into the horse world for you..Please tell the rancher thank you soo much for getting that shot for me..(and a big hug for you)..Yes he does look a lot like a Quarter horse..Which is what my guess would be..Thank you soo much for your sweet words regarding my poetry..Much love..

Oh and here is a picture of my favorite Gypsy:

Re: Cheugon
The Lakota tribe calls them "sunkawakan" or "God of Burden"..I agree that they can be as placid as big dogs..The only thing about that is that we must always wonder when they plan to spook..Cuz an 1800lbs horse running away is far more dangerous then an 80lbs dog saying "hey let's get out of here!" I am soo glad that you enjoyed this post..Thank you soo much for stopping in and reading..

--- the breed with wings on their feet, they are??? (besides being so elegant and graceful...) actually, I find so much Majestic beauty --- I had a rancher yesterday snap a shot for you my friend --- They were 'shoe-ing' him and it's a Quarter Horse? ~
~ He wouldn't look at camera (He must be shy)
I so enjoy your poetry, Your Love for such Majesty ~ Your films, Your history ---

That was a treat!
Horses are so majestic.
When the Europeans first brought them to America, the Native Americans didn't have a name for them.
I don't know what the other tribes called them, but, the Cheyenne word for horse means "big dog." And we can easily see why.
They resemble a larger version of
canis familiaris(dog), and when they're tamed, they are as loyal and affectionate as a dog.
I loved this post, wigopa. Thank you.
