Re: That first step is a doozy
Smittenheimer, It always surprises me when I get comments from someone reading the posts of the past.  Thank you for the great comment.

Taps.

Sometimes, letting go and taking that first step in faith to trust another is difficult, but can prove to be very beneficial.

      I like your poem, Taps.

Stay tuned for an important message from Wally and me, of course! LOL

lustorlove, This is my "Second Time Around" blog.  Everything here has been posted at one time or another in my blogs since Feb of 2004.  This one I wrote a long time ago and yes, it was about a wedding.

mmmm .... a hard one to take ... but sometimes it's just a leap of
faith ... not something I do easily, but, when no flags have fallen after a period of time ... I'm leapin'!  Love this:

"Catch me--I'm giving you my trust
to be there for me always!
Maybe if I just unclench my fists
and take a deep breath..."

Thanks, Troosha.  Free-falling now and then (not too often) is an important part of life.

Re: sounds just like a wedding...
Ciel, If mine had lasted, I would have celebrated my 50th anniversary this week.  But, it ended at my 30th anniversary and all I have of that is memories, both good and bad, and children and grandchildren.

Just wonderful, Taps.  If we don’t do a little free-falling through life we’re missing out on so much.

mine, that I cried all the way through!
