"Deft" seems such a limited and inadequate word to describe what you have done here, Troosha. I shall, however, opt for simplicity. "You are so deft!" Moon

So philosophical! Troosha. A question asked beautifully.
The use of the word "parsimonious" is simply excellent! The last two words are a beauty in excellence. WOW!!!

This is a great poem.
Many people listen today, but they don't hear what's being said. Take our
politicians for instance, the people are saying one thing and the politicians
are doing what they want. Sometimes our parents don't listen, but don't
hear what's being said. Sometimes our children listen, but don't hear what
we are trying to teach them. It's one thing to listen and another to hear
what's being said. This is a wonderful, wonderful poem. It's definitely the
truth. Thanks for sharing.

Troosha, I guess I'm guilty of not being a good listener...................
Actually, my husband tells me I never listen to him. hahaha
It depends on who is talking and what they have to say. Some people are annoying and hard to listen to - like Barrack Obama (he talks a lot, but doesn't say anything). Seriously, I'm a good listener if it's important for me to hear what's being said.
Lovely poem, good to read you again.

Troosha ...
or agenda riddled wisdom -- love that! It's not hard to figure out who listens and who is listening waiting for you to listen to them ... know what I mean? I'm a good listener but a monotone voice, with little to really say, sometimes transports me to my refrigerator and what I'm going to have for dinner. Awesome poem.

Unfortunately...
...most people just take turns talking, instead of listening and then responding.
Excellent and wise post, Troosha.

This is a Splendid piece of writing Troosha! It is so important to 'LISTEN'
if one is not attentive to the spoken words-then one ought not to be offering a listening ear!Apart from the fact that it shows very little-(if any)-true respect-mistakes can follow-with malfunctioning information! Very valuable read! Chris.

Troosha ~.~
I believe one of the most important aspects of a relationship is listening -- whether between spouses, parents and children, lovers, friends, business associates or even strangers. Interaction between individuals is 80% listening. This is a great write! Thank youfor sharing. Peace, blessings and understanding.
