Re: Sira

I could tell you stories about Rogers that would make your blood boil and your toes curl. In fact, I may have a mini rant about that one of these days...

As soon as I'm freed from the shackles of Telus, I'll be transforming into a loyal Bell customer--I have a friend on their network, and she's been thrilled with the service so far!

It's times like this that make me appreciate our Capitalist friends to the south--they have a seemingly endless list of cell phone providers to chose from. And if there's any truth to the advertising, some of them sound pretty good.

Sira
I'm with Rogers, who are only slightly better. I am off a one-yer contract, and am now month-to-month. And I have told them if they piss me off, I'm gone! Of course, the only other alternative is probably Bell...

Re: Sira

Troosha, I'm so with you on this! Telus has become the most offensive of 4-letter words in Sira Land!

We use Shaw for everything except cell service. And as soon as they start providing that, we'll be switching over to them.

Thanks for reading

Sira
Telus!  You can’t even mention that word in this house for fear that either Mr.T or I will have a complete meltdown.  A “communication company” that puts you through an arduous automatic menu system only to end up being put on hold and then being told you have to be transferred else.  Telus!  The very utterance of the word sends a chill up my back.  Thank God for Shaw…..

Re: I'm wondering if you could take the cash for the car payment you don't

Pat,

I did consider that, briefly. But it's going to cost me darn near $600 to get out of the contract (2 phones X over a year of penalties), and I just can't bring myself to give them the satisfaction of taking all that money!

So I'll bide my time, for now.

Re: it somehow always feels good to hear that

Auslander,

It does make me feel a bit better, knowing that I'm not the only one having troubles! But then, I am very sorry that it's so hard for you to get service out there!

If only the rest of the company was as efficient as the bill collectors!

Thanks for reading, and good luck with your own phone battles

have to make next month, pay the penalty for early withdrawal and switch to a new service provider. Why spend another year in bondage, frothing at the mouth with every bill you pay?

you're not the only one with problems with their cell phones. But here, it is not only cell phones, it's phones period. To get hooked to the line or to get a mobile, it ain't easy. And then, if they considere that you are not using it enough, in their own point of view, they want to cut you off!  You just can't win with these cies. The only thing they do very fast and efficiently is to send us the bills. Tschüs!
