I feel what he's saying here but...
A whiz man once said "Blowing out someone else's candle doesn't make your's burn any brighter."
However, it is exceptionally juicy when some smug blowhard gets torn a new one by someone equal to the task. Bill Buckley making intellectual elites from the time look like stuttering lil' prix, for example.
