Morning is my productive time. Energy wanes by mid-afternoon
and vegetation sets in by evening. It's the old "larks and owls" thing - some of us do well in nocturnal hours. I used to be (still am) fascinated by a warm spring evening and a full moon, but it no longer seems a romantic pull. I don't long for an arm around me as I enjoy the silver sensations of moonlight and the edits of shadows on the daily world. But a 5:00 a.m. cup of coffee and morning bird songs give me a kick start when it comes to organizing myself to deal with the events of the day.

I do.

I can write any time too, but there is something special about morning writing.

I believe ther is a closeness to God that we experience in the morning that

we don't find in the evening and I believe it's because we are tired and can't

focus, but in the morning, we are refreshed.  I can hear nothing now, but the

birds chirping, which says to me, "It's going to be another beautiful day!"

Did you know that most of Jesus' miracles were done early in the morning?

 Great blog.

I like both but

I usually have better, more "grandiose" ideas at night. But if I 'm in bed already, I can't be bother to get up again to go write. By the time morning arrives, I tried to remember these grandiose ideas and organise them in a more logical way. Am I making any sense here?

I also love walking under the full moon, especially during winter, when the sky is clear, it is something like -20oC and the snow reflects the moonlight. It is then really magical (féérique). Tschüs!

moody writer
I prefer to write in the magic hour of morning. However I wrote my first place poem at night. Any time of day works. It depends on your mood, love.
