shelly, The Muppets was a favorite...when Lawrence Welk came on
I went and read a book.

...now when I see an old episode of Welk, I get very emotional (in a good way) because I knew how much my Mom loved it and watched it faithfully every Saturday night...

Shelly
I remember the song very well. However, I wouldn't be able to tell you a THING about the show. lol.
So likely did not watch...but was actively listening?

Shelly, During the years that I helped take care of my Alzeheimer's Dad, I so appreciated the Lawrence Welk Show because Dad loved it. I could always count on him sitting in one spot for an hour without disappearing out the front door and down the stree and me chasing him. I would get an hour's reprieve to do personal things without worrying.
