Awesome Taps
I love the water and all it's mystery.  I am amazed that only 5% of the ocean has been explored.  I know this is about a river ... just sayin!  Dark water frightens me ... I need to see all my stuff and what's going on with it!

So true, Sam.  Can you even imagine the tremendous upheavel in the New Madrid earthquake of 1812 that made the Mississippi River run backwards for a time, changed its course and created large lakes.

The river is a force to be reckoned with; I fear their destructive power. This was laden with strong imagery!  sam

Re: I love the emotions stirred by rivers except of course the restlessness
I've seen a lot of rivers in my lifetime, FreeManWalking.  I've been paddlewheeling, canoeing, jet-boating, rafting, swimming, tubing, ferried, and who knows what all.  I have found no two alike.  They all have their own "personalities" and their own "attributes".

Re: TAPS, I enjoyed this post...as much as I love water, the MO River is
Thank you, Ariala.  I guess it is a grim topic for such a beautiful Sunday morning as this, eh?

TAPS, I enjoyed this post...as much as I love water, the MO River is

not my favorite...so many have lost their lives there kayaking or whatever...there are undercurrents which are apparently very dangerous...

Beautiful work!
