FreeManWalking, good yarn
Yes, you never see 'he kept his bike clean' carved on a gravestone.

I hear you.

Reminds me of the story about the hovercraft ...

Hey, I just noticed your masthead. What about knives?

Strat - we've got to use stuff up and wear it out...like our favorite
faded, holey blue jeans

That's a great story, Wild Bill.
It's very true, too. My wife and I compromise. We have the "good" car, hers, and my car, the old Jeep Cherokee we use to get stuff from the nursery, take to the woods, let the dog ride around in, that sort of thing. The thing is, I think she likes driving it more than she likes the "good" car, for precisely that reason.

Since we are both a lot alike, we will most certainly get our money's worth out of both cars before it's all over with. Already the good car has a second interior made up of dog hair...

Thanks TAPS - this episode took place in 1993. My grandfathers been gone
three years ago come Wdnesday and I still learn a bit from him. I remember riding around the fields in those cadillac cars. I heard this story from my aunt last night at a fish fry at my grandmothers house.

FreeManWalking, Regrets are sad things at anytime, but especially at the end of life.  Everyone has a few, even if they claim otherwise.   Its a part of being human.  Glad to see you are still around here once in a while.
